Details of visit:
I have joined the working group of Professor Frederick Tam and Professor Robert Unwin at Imperial College London/UCL to work on the P2X7 receptor pathway in oxalate induced chronic kidney disease.
To be part of the TRENAL program is a huge honour for me. I highly appreciate the opportunity to perform research at a renowned university whilst being able to spend this time in London – a fascinating city with never-ending impressions. My mentors, both in London and in Erlangen, have been most supportive and I feel privileged to work with these extraordinary people. I am convinced my time here will benefit my medical education and scientific skills as much as it will help me to mature as a person, and it will certainly influence my life positively for many years to come.
