Details of visit:
I am spending the summer in Erlangen, Germany working in the Pattern Recognition Lab at FAU. My project involves utilizing algorithms to detect microvessels in images of tumor cells in order to enable a quantitative analysis of histological slice images. I’ve been loving the chance to explore different cities on the weekends and immerse myself in such an amazing culture. I am very grateful for the support of TRENAL, DAAD, and my mentor Dr.-Ing. Andreas Maier for this opportunity to spend the summer in Germany! I can’t wait to take everything I learned back to Yale to enhance my engineering education.
